Postmortem: Snuffleupagus

Odds are if you win an ultra-competitive non-keeper league the previous season you’ll fall short of a repeat the next. Such was the fate that befell Snuffleupagus, Sterling Sharpe, and The Taco Stand in 2013. I can’t say that it did not start out swimmingly, however. Given the league name (Aaron Rodgers’ Avenue) there is always one guy I want on my team. And after pulling off this doozy a year ago odds were not in my favor for landing him again:

I chose 11th and he went fourth overall to Shuttlesworth my longtime fantasy foe. But all was not lost! I had a stellar draft—Yahoo! lauded it with its highest honor: an A+—but just like with Brc the loss of Randall Cobb, the perfect PPR player, was a cruel blow to a team that also had to deal with injuries to Shane Vereen and Rob Gronkowski. The latter’s loss the week before the playoffs hurt the most and a season that took many twists and turns ultimately finished with a first round playoff defeat.
